Making Waves - Acoustics for Sound Engineers

The ISCE has a few places remaining on its Making Waves - Acoustics for Sound Engineers course being held at Leisuretec Distribution Ltd on Monday 9th September in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

Covering lots of topics to help sound engineers understand what happens to sound after it leaves the loudspeaker, the training course will also cover;

  • Relationship between the speed of sound, wavelength and frequency

  • How the decibel works
  • Equal loudness contours and the implications of

  • Point, line and plane sources and their propagation
  • Air absorption, reverberation and absorption
  • Diffraction, interference, temperature and the speed of sound

  • The Doppler effect
